Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information HalfCourt Hero collects, why we collect it and who we share it with. It covers everything at halfcourthero.com: the Fair Minutes Coach Kit and its add-ons, our free charts, the HalfCourt Hero App, the Chart Builder and Driveway Reps. Questions? Email us at support@halfcourthero.com.
The short version
- We collect what we need to sell you the kit, run the tools and email you.
- We never see your full card number. Our payment company handles it.
- We don't sell your information or your team's information.
- We use Meta and Google to see which ads bring us coaches.
- Kids don't make accounts or type anything in. A first name is all a coach needs.
- Email us anytime to see, fix or delete your information.
1. What we collect
- When you order. Your first name, last name and email, plus what you bought, the price and the time. We also save your IP address, your browser type and how you found us: the ad or link you clicked and the page you landed on. We save this as soon as you start an order, even if you don't finish.
- When you pay. Stripe, our payment company, collects your card or wallet details and may ask for your country or ZIP code. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe keeps your card on file so a one-tap offer right after your order can charge it, and only if you tap Yes.
- When you ask for a free chart. Your first name, your email and how many kids are on your team.
- When you use the app. Your name, your email and your login. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us.
- What you type in about your team. Team name, league, age group and playing-time rules. Players' names, jersey numbers and the levels you give them. Game dates, opponents, who was absent or late, lineups and minutes played. For Driveway Reps: team name, your first name, age group, team level and whether your families have a hoop at home.
- When you email us. Your message and anything you send with it.
- When you visit. The pages you visit, when you visit and the ad or link that brought you, tied to a random visitor ID instead of your name. Section 6 lists our cookies.
2. Kids and team information
HalfCourt Hero is made for the adults who coach. You must be 18 or older to buy from us or make an account.
- Kids don't make accounts. They don't sign in or type anything in.
- A first name is enough. Coaches enter players' names, and a first name or a nickname works fine. We don't ask for birthdays, photos, addresses, phone numbers or parents' contact information, so please don't enter them.
- Player levels stay private. They're for the coach's planning and never show on anything parents see.
- The Driveway Reps parent link. It shows the team name, the coach's first name, the week's mission and the team's overall level. It shows no player names. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it only with your team. You can switch to a new link anytime.
- Parent checkmarks stay on the phone. When a family checks off a session, it's saved on that phone only. We don't receive it.
- Children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
- Parents. If you have a question about information a coach entered about your child, email us. We'll work with the coach to sort it out.
3. How we use it
- To take your payment, send your download link and receipts, and give you what you bought.
- To run the app, the Chart Builder and Driveway Reps for your team.
- To answer your emails and handle refunds.
- To send emails about coaching and our products, if you bought from us or asked for a free chart.
- To see which ads and pages work, so we stop paying for the ones that don't.
- To stop fraud, like someone testing stolen cards on our order page.
- To follow the law.
We never use your team's information for ads, and we never send it to Meta or Google. Today, none of our tools send your team's information to an AI service. If that ever changes, we'll update this page first.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run HalfCourt Hero, and each one gets only what it needs.
| Company | What it does for us | What it gets |
|---|---|---|
| The company that hosts our site and app | Runs our store, the app, logins and order emails | The information in section 1 |
| Stripe | Takes payments | Your name, email, payment details and order |
| Our email service | Sends our coaching and product emails | Your first name, email, team size if you gave it, what you bought, and whether you open or click our emails |
| Google Workspace | Runs our support inbox | The emails you send us |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Shows us which ads lead to sales | See section 5 |
| Google Analytics | Shows us how people use our site | See section 5 |
| Google Fonts | Loads the lettering on our pages | Your IP address and browser type |
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or if HalfCourt Hero is ever sold. A new owner would have to follow this policy for the information we already have.
5. Meta and Google
We use the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to learn which ads and pages bring us coaches.
- Meta gets which of our pages you visit and, if you buy, the order number and total. To match a sale to an ad, our server also sends Meta your email, first name and last name in scrambled (hashed) form, our random visitor ID, your IP address, your browser type and Meta's own cookies. Hashing hides the words, but Meta can still match them to a Meta account.
- Google gets which of our pages you visit and, if you buy, the order number, total and products, plus Google's own cookies, your IP address and your browser type. We keep Google's advertising features turned off.
- What they never get: your card details, your team's information, your players' names, or your email or download link inside a page address.
Meta and Google use this under their own policies: Meta Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Some state laws call sharing information with an ad company "sharing" or a "sale," even when no money changes hands. Here's how to say no:
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. When we see it, we don't load Meta or Google on our pages, and we don't report your purchase to Meta.
- Outside the US? We don't load Meta or report your purchase to Meta.
- Use your own settings. Block cookies in your browser, and change your ad settings in your Meta and Google accounts.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser. These are the ones on our site:
| Cookie | What it's for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| site_vid | A random visitor ID, so we can count visits without knowing who you are | 1 year |
| site_ft | The first ad or link that brought you to us | 90 days |
| site_lt | The latest ad or link that brought you to us | 90 days |
| _fbc | The Meta ad you clicked, if you came from one | 90 days |
| _fbp | Meta's browser ID, set by Meta | 90 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics' browser ID, set by Google | Up to 2 years |
Stripe also sets its own cookies on the order page to help stop fraud.
We save a few things in your browser so the site works: your name and email from checkout (to fill in your app sign-up), your download link, your login and Driveway Reps checkmarks. They stay on your device.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work without them.
7. Emails
- Order emails. Your download link and receipts. You'll get these even if you unsubscribe from our other emails.
- Coaching and product emails. Sent if you buy from us or ask for a free chart. Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Opens and clicks. Our email service tells us when you open an email or click a link in it.
- No texts. We don't ask for your phone number, and we don't send texts.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Show you the information we have about you.
- Fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information, your account and your teams. Deleting a team in the app only hides it. To erase it for good, email us.
- Stop sending you marketing emails.
- Remove your saved card from Stripe.
Email support@halfcourthero.com from the address you used with us, so we know it's you. We'll answer every request, wherever you live, and we'll never treat you differently for asking. You can also contact the privacy regulator where you live.
9. How long we keep it
- Your account and team information: until you ask us to delete it, or until we stop offering that tool.
- Order and payment records: as long as we need them for taxes, refunds and disputes, even after you delete your account.
- Email sign-ups: if you unsubscribe, we keep your email marked "unsubscribed" so we don't email you again. Ask, and we'll delete it.
- Backups: copies held by our service companies can take some time to clear.
10. Keeping it safe
- Stripe handles your card, so it never sits in our records.
- Your download link and the Driveway Reps links use long random codes that can't be guessed. Keep your download link to yourself.
- When you're signed in, only you can see your teams and games. Our team looks at them only when we're helping you.
- No website is perfectly safe. If you think someone got into your account, email us right away.
11. Where it's stored
We're based in the United States. Our service companies store information in the US and may also process it in other countries.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we'll email our customers before it starts.
